                     The Vibrant Roman Streets

Turn to any alley or corner in Rome and you will find an interesting line up of artists and freelance musicians. Mime artists, street entertainers, sketchers or just an old man playing the cello or one of the musical instruments you don't know the name of.

Start your path from the Pantheon- the architectural wonder at the Piazza della Rotonda and make your way to the Piazza Navona and maybe ending up near the Trevi Fountain.

Vibrant and colorful, filled with tourists (especially in the evenings), these two Piazzas are also home to some beautiful art work. Do stop by to gaze at some local art with many a familiar and beautiful pictures of Hollywood stars and politicians.

It's lovely to watch these artists whilst you sit in one of the benches by the fountain with a gelato in your hand. Take a stroll like I did or just idle away like most others. You might find many Italians (oldies) holding a newspaper in their hand, but too lazy to read and watching the mime artists or the sketchers in the end.

A picture speaks a thousand words. And so they follow.
